1) I hope YouTube is aware that Anti Trust suits are coming for google & the rest of these big Tech giants colluding with Big Media to shut down conservatives on line. We are going to fight for our right to free speech on a platform that was grew on the basis that it was free
-
LMAO "shutting down conservatives". If your conservative speech is hate speech it doesn't belong on online platforms. That said, YouTube's indecisiveness is fucking over everyone.
-
You can disagree with Vox all you want, but you can't harass them over their gender/sexual orientation, race, or disability status. That's not only outside the scope of speech, but it is even illegal under the Civil Rights Act.
-
You also can't incite violence, including shooting up mosques or running over protestors. That's also illegal. And no, there is no jurisdiction where milkshakes are considered violence.
-
the contemporary 50:50 online mixup: that shirt really meant "socialism is for fig newtons" ;) <-> burger king saying they sell milkshakes is actually threatening me >:(
-
Cognitive dissonance masterclass every fucken day.

“Harm to the broader community” language first appeared after Logan’s scandal; we assumed that meant causing negative press. But here you’re replying to a reporter who just addressed other “Reporters,” asking for negative press. Are reporters the most powerful class on Youtube?
-
Broader community = anyone who can have a negative effect the money

YouTube’s response here is like that of a frightened child. This corporate shuddering over social justice flare-ups is untenable in the long term. At some point, companies will either wise up and ignore this shit or die a dramatic digital death.
-
They should wise up cus most of it is due to sites like vox being kept up by click farms and the real people that buy their crap will go to the next outrage in a week or two.

It is disturbing to see YouTube bowing even more to a minority fanatical viewpoint at the expense of all of the other users and creators. At this rate the door is wide open for an alternative. I used to love YouTube...
-
you mean the "fanatical viewpoint" that protected classes should be, you know, protected from harassment?
-
So if you’re from a protected class you can’t be teased? He needs to step into some big boy pants and quit crying.
-
you have a funny definition of "teased"
-
Yeah. Funny. Humor. That thing comics do too. Are we going to silence them too, ya big cry babies?

-
if they were ginning up hate against a protected class, then yes? not sure what you're getting at
-
If you're using the words "protected class", there's already a problem. The second problem is your understanding of the word harassment.
-
The phrase protected class has a very specific meaning in law. Read a Supreme Court ruling now and then, please.

WHY IS IT NOT BANNED!
-
Why would he be banned...
-
For violating the TOS by making a video using homophobic slurs against an individual.
-
Sorry that you had to waste your time answering the obvious, but it is appreciated. I just block and move on, it's better for the mind, and the fact that they will just continue to be a sad individual or a badly written bot.
