Since gaming now lives at http://YouTube.com/gaming , the old Gaming app is going away on May 30th! If you were subscribed to channels in the Gaming app, they’ll automatically move to your YouTube subs feed on May 14th. More need-to-know info→ https://yt.be/help/yRe4
Subscriber fluctuations are normal. In addition to user subscribes & unsubscribes, YouTube adjusts subscriber counts to remove any inactive or illegitimate subscriptions. Also, are your subs reporting that they're not receiving notifications of your uploads/posts? Let us know.

Increase in views, major decrease in subs. This mostly means old users from gaming somehow weren’t getting notified all along past few years, and just got notified with the Gaming app migration. I would wonder why they weren’t being notified all along? Why now, with the sunset.pic.twitter.com/9k0aj9VnlW

I would like to kindly call you out for that answer - you see, we’re talking an unusual amount of unsubscribes (my channel had 200k before this tweet, then now has dropped about 60 a day). I’ve not uploaded anything since the Gaming app migrating & all. Users rediscovering me
