Why in hell @YouTube keeps showing me stories of channels that I'm not subscribed and don't care at all? So annoying!

In the home feed, we recommend stories we believe the viewer might be interested in based on a variety of signals such as watch history and likeliness to watch (regardless of whether the viewer is subscribed to the channel).

That's not true. I don't watch any pewdiepie, will smith, any of the paul brother's, etc. but if i watch a video that mentions any of those names in the video, all of a sudden i get their channels recommended to me. And it is really annoying because i don't like any of them.

Recommendations are based on many factors such as search history, watch history etc. You can remove recommended content by selecting "Not interested", it'll influence how YT suggests videos to you in the future. Here's more on managing recommendations: https://yt.be/help/cJiM

Is there a way to turn of story recommendations all together? I really don't view the stories of anyone and it'd be nice if there was an option to turn it off

While there isn't an option available to turn off stories, you can share your thought using our 'Send Feedback', here's how: https://yt.be/help/feedback . You may not get a response, but we do review and use it to improve your experience.
