@TeamYouTube If my video has a false copyright claim for a song I own the rights to and I've disputed that claim, why is my only option on the monetisation tab to 'share revenue' with that false claimant?
Currently if you've disputed the claim, we request you to hold on for the decision. During the period, that's the only option you get. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately this sounds like another situation where YouTube is letting false claimants harm creators while having no penalty imposed upon them for doing so. Why isn't there a penalty for posting illegitimate content id claims?

To clarify, abuse of the copyright system may result in the termination of the claimants account. While we can't cover specifics, we recommend waiting until you hear back on a decision. Hope this clarifies.
