@TeamYouTube Search icon within channels (lens icon) does not automatically focus the text field. Had to type search terms twice on many occasions because i just assumed it would focus correctly.
Was this always the case or is this a regression?

Ok, when i click the icon, the "Search" text field shows up. But it does not automatically get input focus, so you have to click on the "Search" text as well before you can enter the search terms. After clicking on the icon, you should be able to type right away.pic.twitter.com/XE1YNEDict

...or even better, always show the search field. This would be more consistent with pretty much every other google site, i think.
