@TeamYouTube the account I've used for years to let my son watch YouTube has been suspended for some violation of the TOS and support does not seem to be willing to tell me what it was that he apparently did. How am I even supposed to know what it was that they think he did?
When a channel is suspended, you'll receive an email with more details about the reason. If you think it happened in error, you can always appeal here: https://goo.gl/CxvHiH . Also, here's more info about account terminations, including why it can happen: https://goo.gl/wi7Ubg

Ok, the email I received did not give a reason, so that's not remotely helpful.
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Also that link won't let me appeal because I don't know a URL associated with the YouTube account and it won't let me submit a ticket without one.

So, nothing? I've no idea why my son's YouTube account was terminated, an appeal failed and I have no way to find out why? That's garbage.
