Thanks for reaching out, Jay. Let's see what's going on. How far are your devices from your Wi-Fi router? Do you get the same result when using other cast-enabled apps? Turning on Bluetooth on your mobile device can help.

No worries — thanks for the details. Depending on how many devices you have on your network and if they support 5.0 GHz, we suggest connecting your Chromecast to your 2.4 GHz band. Also, have you tried reinstalling your YouTube app to see if it helps?

Today though, right now in fact, I'm connected to my 5ghz wifi. and only one cast device is on. and is connected to them 5ghz. but it's still going undetected. I rebooted it from the home app too but still no luck. just YouTube ain't working. I be casting flix just fine.

We appreciate all the details, Jay. You've been amazing doing all those steps. Since this is only happening with YouTube, hopefully our friends from

Thanks for tagging us. @JaysNarrative, just to confirm, have you tried uninstalling & reinstalling the app after restarting the device to see if that helps? Also, could you make sure the device OS is updated to the latest version? Let us know.
