youtube: NOT ADVERTISER FRIENDLY
(This happened yesterday— I find the timing on this very, very disheartening for the @YouTube community)pic.twitter.com/pewLkljFpI

I have a HIGHLY monitored comments section and many say it is the kindest on YouTube. This makes NO SENSE. Remove the few comments and ban the user.
Just to be super clear, we're not saying anything is wrong with the actual video and thank you for doing a great job moderating the comments section. These recent actions are due to an abundance of caution related to content that may endanger minors.
Not all channels do moderate and we've had to take an aggressive approach and more broad action at this time. We’re also investing in improving our tools to detect/remove this content, so we rely on your moderation less.
I can understand that you are dealing with a widespread issue. But these videos were then manually reviewed. If they pose no harm, then why weren’t they approved? And how does demonetizing content do anything to stop potential predators?pic.twitter.com/GZT5eeXfZu
Us creators want to work with you @TeamYouTube and not against you... let us know what action we need to take to return monetization. changing the thumbnails? Disabling comments? Is there really nothing we can do to earn revenue despite the content being clean. How is that fair?
So what you’re saying is if OTHER PEOPLE comment inappropriate shit on our videos WE get punished?? Find a better solution and stop pushing away your creators, YouTube. You’re killing your own platform.
Why is their solution to any controversy always to destroy the livelihoods of innocent content creators? Just moderate your fucking site properly and leave the people just trying to earn a living alone
Are you kidding me? Where is this going? Comments on videos can now ruin people's careers on YT regardless of the creator not having control over em. Are we supposed to be the viewer's parents and raise them? This is insane.
Does this mean I can just say the n-word in a comment and get somebody demonitized
“...inappropriate comments could result in your video receiving limited or no ads (yellow icon).” -@TeamYouTube
Dear YouTube, We, creators, are not responsible for OTHER USERS' COMMENTS. That is THEIR responsibility. Don't put this burden on us. It's hard enough spending most of our time creating our content, not policing it. Maybe at least let us appoint moderators or something!
Alright, looks like we CAN appoint moderators. Which it looks like we'll do. But this seriously not great.
That's exactly what I'm trying to say in my tweets! People go to channels and hate on them for doing what they do for a living and what they love.
This is about the worst idea I've ever heard @TeamYouTube. You're literally punishing creators for the trolls that attack their videos. You're giving them a weapon to destroy people they don't like. How could you not realize this?
Not only that but they reference a tweet from PhillyD to get more info about it not even a tweet or info directly from them on lol...
So if I start posting racial explicitives on Jake Paul's videos you'll demonitize him? Or will you make some sort of exception for that too?
