Hey @YouTube, what's the deal with the, "#cast" button spontaneously disappearing from the YT Android app? Why was this feature removed? It was a good feature! Is this some sort of kowtow to media conglomerates? Does this imply that the feature no longer works for #ChromeCast?

Hi there, that's odd. Try uninstalling the app updates> restart the device> update the app. Also make sure your device is updated to the latest OS version. Let us know if this helps.

Hello, I appreciate the reply. Pardon my saltiness. I'm afraid that these actions didn't work. My OS version is "O (8.0.0) on a Samsung Galaxy Note 8. I cannot find an option to manually check for OS updates on this phone; they tend to just happen. Any other ideas?

Correction, I found the OS update option and ran it. It said that my OS is up to date. I have also tried swiping the application off of my "task manager view" (not sure what the proper term for that screen is; I'm no phone dev) to restart the app but it's not producing results.

The icon I am seeing on the top right of the video where the "cast" option would otherwise be is a redundant "add to playlist" button.

That's strange. Please send us a feedback report from the device/account experiencing the issue with these steps: https://goo.gl/1ckkO5 . While every individual report may not get a direct response back, we do review everything and use the details to investigate and fix issues.
