Hi, there My channel just received a copyright takedown notice on a video that I deleted a few weeks ago. Can deleted videos still receive a copyright strike? Besides, it was manually detected by the claimant. @TeamYouTube

Just to confirm, do you see the video in your Video manager? Also, private and unlisted videos are still scanned by our system against our database of files. Share more details if you can.

I deleted this video once I received the first copyright strike on 22 Dec from the same claimant.

Deleting the video which has the strike won't resolve it. However you can appeal the strike from the 'Copyright section' of the Creator studio. Hope this helps clarify.
