@YouTube Hi. Autoplay. Like darkmode, can you start making it optional? It is so hard to turn off autoplay. And often it is impossible. It is an USABILITY issue, and a BUG. A damn screaming BUG

Thanks for reaching out. You can try following these steps: From Settings > go to Autoplay > then Autoplay on Home. There you can turn the feature on, off, or change to only play on WiFi. Hope this helps.

That is fine for android and autoprogress which is default (but only insane people would watch these choices) . But if I get a notification for a comment for a video, and I click it the video will autoplay. Even worse when chromecasting

Hmm, does this happen across devices? Also, could you share a screenshot for us to understand this better? Let us know and we'll look into it.

Sorry to be so crude and rude, but this is actually the whole repro. On Android or web, click a comment reply notification and the video will start playing. Autoplay only affects automatically starting a new video.

This is also an accessibility issue since seeking back to start takes precision with the mouse or fingers

Hmm, have you tried to update/reinstall the app to see if it helps? Let us know.

I have. This is across all devices. There is no way to prevent videos to not play automatically. You can stop things from autoplay next videos, but this does not prevent videos from playing automatically.
