@TeamYouTube Hi, is there a way of preventing the Youtube app from translating video titles? I watch everything in English, but about a fifth of the videos in my timeline now appear with French titles (even though the vid is in English). How do I disable this?

Hey there! You have the option to select your language and location on YouTube on your device: https://goo.gl/TWjbiv . Let us know if this helps!

Thanks for the reply. Sadly didn't help. Moved location to UK, and checked that my google account preference was English, but the titles are still French in the Android app. It seems to automatically detect my device language and not let me opt out of translation

That's odd! What device are you using? Also, does this happen across devices? Keep us posted.

I have a Samsung galaxy A3 set in French as the default language. Therefore the play store and my YT app are in French. Never found how to switch the language of the YT app without switching the whole phone. I've only noticed the translation of titles on the app. Example:pic.twitter.com/TKWFL2jxKG

Gotcha! Language settings for the mobile apps follow the language of your device. However, you can change your YouTube location settings in the YouTube app. Here's how: Go to Menu > Tap Settings > Tap General > Tap Location > Select the Country. Let us know if this helps.
