It varies from channel to channel -- some don't seem to do it at all, but the WWE stuff seems to have it after 24 hours. Some stuff on FX I watch never seems to --- I think its down to the individual deals the channels have struck with youtube more than anything

I just know when I record something, the next day it often switched to the VOD version.

When a VOD option is available, the network may only allow the VOD content to be accessible until it expires. Once it is no longer available, you'll be able to watch the recorded version. Let us know if you have any questions.
