Hey @YTAdvertisers I know your Adsense is terrible but maybe don’t play an unskipable ad for Slenderman in the middle of a video of songs for preschoolers.
This is an account we use specifically for kid videos so you can’t blame our history.

We cracked down on it immediately but for future reference your algorithm should really be tweaked if an ad for a horror film gets shown on a verified, high profile channel that's clearly tagged for children. Not everyone watching these videos will be logged in at all times.
-
If your algorithms are able to determine what ads it’d like to show me based on key words in my email it should be able to tag ‘horror’ and exclude showing it on YouTube videos tagged ‘kids’. And if
@SonyPictures mistagged the ad to get a wider audience they should be reprimanded

So there are ways to remove things it has already decided I want to see (often erroneously). How can I block a category before it ever shows up? Say I never want to see a horror ad, because those tend to have sensitive content in them. How would I block that before it comes up?

You can always personalize the type of ads that you see on YouTube. Here's how: https://goo.gl/ZB1qVL . Hope this helps!

I decided to take a look at it also, and being able to remove categories is nice, but I still wish there was a simple toggle for "don't show ads for age-restricted content/products".
