You don't get @YouTube Red/premium anymore with a Google play subscription?

If you're already a Google Play Music subscriber, nothing is changing with the subscription. You'll still have access to YouTube Premium, which is formerly known as YouTube Red. Hope this clarifies.

Maybe my phone or account isn't working properly but my Google play subscription is working fine, however my YouTube account doesn't say "Red" anymore and is showing ads

Could you check if you are singed into the right account and your app is updated? Keep us posted.

I checked, and I'm using the same account. I reinstalled both the YouTube app and the Google play music app. For some reason, I no longer have YouTube red although I've had it since its release.
