Ted Cruz needs to stop acting like he speaks for all us veterans. We all have different opinions on the subject. I stand with Beto because he doesn't try and divide us.
I choose @tedcruz for #TXSen because unlike @betoorourke, I think refusing to stand for the national anthem is disrespectful to those who have sacrificed so much for America.

I’m a veteran and a police officer and I have a million times more respect for
@Kaepernick7 and@MalcolmJenkins and any others making a stand by kneeling than a politician and a panderer of the lowest common denominator. You do not speak for all vets and cops. -

I’m a 26 year Army Veteran with 6 combat tours and I believe in the right to kneel in peaceful protest. The athletes are NOT protesting Soldiers/Veterans, but kneeling in protest to the killing of unarmed black men. As a Vereran I request Ted Cruz not use us as a political tool.

NFL players are not protesting soldiers or the flag. They calmly and respectfully kneel before a symbol of America to protest America's institutional racism towards their community. Maybe Beto O'Rourke can explain it to you better. Oh that's right, HE DID.
