Furthermore it's not the small guys who have been causing trouble for YouTube it's the larger unregulated channel that can't be touched so you just suck out around $1-99 per small channel in order to feed the larger ones that put you in this mess.
Instead of say fixing your system and actually enforcing guidelines you're hoping by trimming the fat you can keep your cash cows funded and happy. Wonder why people stop coming to your site? Shit like this deterring any new creator from starting in the first place.
Wonder why say Twitch is looking to be more and more shiny to people on the YouTube end? It's because they're community based not creator based. The barrier to entry for affiliation on Twitch is low which is enticing to anyone thinking about jumping ship.
In summary you're anyone can be a creator and free YouTube is long gone and by this action you've shown you'd rather punish small creators than fix your policies.
Also this means we can't schedule uploads anymore or use custom thumbnails. Forgot about that as it's a basic feature almost anyone should be able to use.
