Team17 is today announcing an end to the MetaWorms NFT project.
We have listened to our Teamsters, development partners, and our games’ communities, and the concerns they’ve expressed, and have therefore taken the decision to step back from the NFT space.

Responded to the public backlash before responding to our email regarding a copyright claim that the Overcooked devs at OKed for us years ago. Sounds about right.

Why did you even start it? It's common knowledge by now that NFTs are not wanted in this medium.
Not even sure if you can call it "ended" if it barely even began.

I don’t understand how you thought it was a good idea to begin with? Did you not read the room? Had you not been paying attention to the constant backlash in the last six months every time someone announces their going into NFTs?

Maybe they’ve been paying attention that a bunch of large companies with a lot of reach have gone into them and survived “the backlash”. Just a thought.
