    In the process, Khartoum runs the risk of damaging relationships with the wider Arab world, beyond the leaderships - as well as opposition inside the country, for even inching towards normalising with an extreme Israeli government - and Khartoum knows it. That shows a lot.

    As I wrote last week, Trump's ME plan is basically political malware. Some Dem leaders & a few Arab states were initially taken in by words like “2 state solution” and “Palestinian state”, but most now realize the plan is designed to crash the system.
