I played it a few months after launch and thought it was fun! Definitely not as good as ME2/ME3 but not far behind ME1. Replayed it a couple months ago, and while its opening is worse than ME1, it still clicks overall.

People attacked the animation like we all didn't put a 100+ hours into Bethesda titles. It wasn't as good at the original trilogy, but it wasn't a bad game.
