I figured at some point I was eventually going to do it, but was also too overwhelmed. I ended up just getting the recommended typing keyboard from the subreddit, and then some key caps I liked. Which were easier than I expected to install.
Fair point, but I also know I'll spend way too much money on this stuff

Yeah, I was worried about that too. This ended up costing me under $200. Which I felt like was worth it for seeing if this was going to be a thing I was into/for a good keyboard.

Maybe when I start my new job, I'll look into my first custom one
