No surprise tbh; the Nintendo Switch had a really good year last year. Tons of solid games, both first and third-party titles. Not to mention, the console also has been a lot easier to find. Though the Switch has felt the impact of the pandemic.
Also, the PS5 costs at least $100 more than the Nintendo Switch. The PS5 manages to have a limited supply and is being sold mostly online by retailers.

"Making more money" assumes profit. The PS5 may be creating more revenue... but "making more money"? No, it's not even close.
