I've already played through the first chapter of ’Tell Me Why’ three times and I have a lot of things I want to talk about but I am going to hold off my full thoughts on the game until the other two chapters come out. But I'm going to thread my experience over the next few weeks

(2/?) Chapter 1: I liked the foundations established in the first chapter. A Small-town Alaska is refreshing to see in taking as most high profile games tend to ”play it safe” by taking place in cities especially well known cities or fictional counterparts (NY, LA, etc)

(3/?): I like the Ronan twins, especially Tyler. Both aren't one-dimensional character they have a lot of layers and lying through the first chapter multiple times I found small differents in interactions and conversations that painted a better picture.

Also while on the topic of the characters, the beauty of Dontnod games is they add SO MUCH detail into the bedrooms of a character.

Even if you don't interact with every item in one’s house or roomyou can still tell A LOT about a person’s personality, interest, and hobbies.

There's so much detail Dontnod puts into the interiors that you know a lot more about a character than the dialogue could ever give off. It's truly remarkable and it should be a gold standard that AAA developers should take note of

So the story, not going to spoil the story but I am very conflicted. I don't think it’s fair for me to critique the story when I still have two other chapters to play but I the foundation is solid but ill proceed with caution.

The first chapter’s ending threw me for a curveball and I can tell this could likely impact the relationship between the main characters but I also feel they may be scratching the surface on certain themes like mental health which was light touched on in chapter 1

Three separate chapter 1 playthroughs later, it feels good. Not great but I like the main characters and the story so far has me intrigued. I liked the NPC's introduced so far but I need to know more about them in the other chapters before I can really critique or praise
