Agreed. I love Dead Rising. Even 4. I even imported the PC DVD version of 3. I've even wanted to make a 2d version of DR, but I don't have the time to make all the art.
I have a very love/hate relationship with DR4. Frank West is one of my favorite fictional characters, and I felt the game was a betrayal to the original Frank West we knew. He was so unlikeable in DR4 it was so frustrating.

Agreed. I have a hard time associating names with faces, so when I do remember a character, I especially hate when they change the voice/face. It's also why the Snake Pliskin disguise in MGS2 worked on me. It was my first MGS game, so I hadn't learned Snake yet.
