My mom still has our old desktop that was formerly our family computer. I really want to pull it apart and replace all the parts and turn it into an undercover gaming mega-machine. It would be an excellent 2020 project. Thoughts?

I think it's hilarious. The trick is gonna be whether the mounting holes for power, motherboard, etc match up. If they don't, you'd need to learn some soldering. It might be easier to take a compact rig and cut up the existing case to fit like a shell.
I think it'll be a fun challenge! Gove's me an excuse in my free time to do extensive research, especially on soldering.
