Recently, I've been hearing some people express disagreement over Days Gone, and it's I quality. I never really expressed my full thoughts on the game, but I feel it would be a bit therapeutic to voice my opinions on the game.

Let me just start by saying this: I don't think it's awful, but I feel that there are better PS4 exclusives. I would be lying if I said I didn't feel a bit underwhelmed by its story and overall world. Both the story and world are tremendous and both had potential to be great. 2/?

But again, it had a lot to be desired, and considering the game is open world, I feel that the open-world aspect of it is underplayed drastically. Speaking of which, the performances of all but one character we're not memorable (for me).

Compared that to another PS-exclusive, The Last of Us (yes both games are different I am aware don't bother pointing it out) but they're also very similar.

I feel that The Last of Us is a more consistent zombie game because of how the game presents its universe characters. Also, the story and character development felt organic and wholesome, and I felt emotionally invested in the story, and I didn't feel that with Days Gone.

Now, don't get it twisted, in not a fangirling. Over the game, but I express my criticisms of Days Gone because the zombie genre is overturned, and when a type has such an issue, we must demand more innovation and boldness from those products.
