(7/?) Residnet Evil 2 not only provides a new gameplay perspective switching to the third person perspective from the tank controls (which in my opinion is great given how archaic that type of gameplay perspective is)
(8/?) RE2 Remake is a true Remake because it provides a new gameplay perspective, an overhaul on graphics, character models, voice acting, Hell even the story has changed nothing too major but just enough for even OG fans to notice
(9/?) Capcom created a new way to experience the Raccoon City outbreak. It’s so different yet so similar that it’s a successfully executed what remakes set out to do - experience an already beloved title in a new way that stays true to the original source.

Again, I’ve never used remakes or remasters before in my GOTY or even too 10 games of that year but to me Resident Evil 2 broke the wheel and actually is a true Remake deserving of as a GOTY contender
