Unpopular opinion: Mafia III isn’t as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Is it repetitive gameplay wise? Yes was it a technical mess at release? Of course but there’s a great story and considering the circumstances surrounding it I think it’s still a game worth playing.
I mean seriously how many open world crime games can you name aside Mafia III that tackles one of the most important historical periods in US History that wasn’t set in typical cities like NYC or LA? Hangs 13 had some serious guts to set it in that particular era
My main issue with the game was that it was an open world game for the sake of being an open world game when it didn’t need to be
I disagree the way the game is structured the narrative heavily relies on the open world design without it it would have weaken the narrative
