That's preposterous. The average woman has a passing interest in comics at best, which is sad but easily demonstrated by walking into a comic book shop and seeing the ratio of males to females. Any nerd will back this up. It's boarder-line shocking when ladies come in.

What average woman? I'm sure statistically the average man also has a passing interest in comics. I read but my father, uncles, male cousins, and male friends don't. Saying the average woman doesn't care means nothing because dedicated comic readers are a small subset of the pop.
