"Full and equal" = Second Class citizens, by refusing wheelchair users space in First Class. THAT'S NOT EQUALITY!

Seventy disabled children attended our Primary Sports Camp at yesterday. The children, aged 6-11 were introduced to a range of sports and physical activities. Everyone had a great time! Thank you to our generous supporters and volunteers who make these events happen.

More linguistic asymmetry in the reporting of male violence against women: if you read on you'll find this 'teenager' is 19, his 'woman' victim 18. you should fix this headline, it's blatantly biased. Try 'man' and 'woman'

Interesting article on the benefits of and the decline of local communities which can be detrimental to our ageing generation. Instructors are encouraging older adults into exercise classes to improve physical & mental health & wellbeing!

Worryingly this is happing more as some stations stop the lifts when the station unstaffed, apparently due to potential vandalism, making an accessible station inaccessible. How is this allowed?

Finally a look a bit further down the route, below is the 'step free route' at Stocksfield station. Again given a green pin on the not so 'Fab Map' and with a round trip of 540 meters between platforms. Oh and no drop down kerb or street lights for half the journey...

I went to school in Hexham (QEHS) 🙂 Take a look at the 'step-free route' between platforms for Riding Mill, cheerily described as a '10 minute walk' - it's 760 metres with some very steep gradients - but still give it a green pin 🙄

A v professionally drawn line, I must do better 🙂 Yes I'm finding more and more as I look around the 'Fab Map'. The Fab Map is actually a beautiful map, with extraordinary details of everything - apart from it seems the correct details of station access!

Shettleston is similar. The fairly new footbridge has steps, and step-free access from one side to the other is via local streets, yet it has a green pin. Finding a kerb-free way across Cramond Terrace will be an issue too.

    * Thread * I recently raised with & the dubious description of as fully step free station - on the basis that a station with no cross platform SFA should be classed as fully step-free 1/4..

I'm not keen on the idea of "here's £20 to pay you for the inconvenience" - it sets a worrying precedent. Principles cannot and must not be bought off. Hence why I declined their offer.

Yes. We use a social media platform which shows past conversations - most operators use it (and a lot of other non-transport companies). It helps if there's a prolonged issue or reoccurring theme. ^PF

If you have booked, they should provide an 'at seat' service, via the train manager. It's in their DPPP, if you are not asked please complain, other disabled people with diabetes etc. could rely on this!

Across the 🌎 it is estimated that at least 200 MILLION girls have been subjected to FGM. This harmful practice has NO health benefits for girls or women, and is significantly more likely to end in long-term health risks

have they actually quoted 72hrs in print? most Southern stations are rarely staffed and this would be tantamount to denying boarding?

Say I have to book 72 hours in advance because my station is unmanned most days. And then forgot I am on the train when I get to Victoria and tell me its because I am not allowed to travel alone. That for you
