I'll be really curious to see if the people with restored voting rights have a higher percentage of voting than the abysmal percentage of the population overall.
Other attempts to estimate this have found that turnout is lower among this segment. Unfortunately.

The way I view it is that a vote is on issues that effect people and those people’s families. So when I vote I think about the impact of policy on my children. Therefore denying people with convictions a vote, is denying them a say on policy that impacts on their kids.
Hopefully, this will stop Trump from pardoning key groups of felons to get their votes. Then again . . ..
Let’s hope they don’t Florida this up and create an illegal poll tax to stop this.
Hopefully they won’t charge those felons with a “poll tax” like they are trying to do in Florida. They are trying to make felons pay fines and costs related to their convictions before being allowed to register to vote. It has been blocked by a judge, but the issue is ongoing.
