Devils advocate - Isn't this a good way to clean the voter rolls? Somebody dies, somebody moves away and registers in another state (and their new state doesn't communicate the information to the other) and the person is double registered. Both cases time will purge them.

I'm not a huge fan of this, but given how poorly managed the voter rolls are, this may be a good way to keep them up to date. Worst case scenario is that you re-register if you haven't voted in 6 years. (Although personally, I might prefer that number to be 8 to 10 years.)

This is devastating in the metro areas when it is combined with rolling back early voting hours and locations, like what happened with the Hamilton County Board of Elections. Make it harder to vote, then punish those that don't.
