    Still no news on what Utah's governor will do. Three more days.

    Utah lawmakers just passed a bill to ramp up cash bail & pretrial detention. And the governor (Republican ) has said he may veto it. A really big story to watch until Thursday, Cox's deadline.

    (the doctor asked what had happened, and I was too embarrassed to say I'd put a sheet above my head to act like a ghost, so I said I was running in my room & fell, though in retrospect that makes even less sense especially at 2am)

    10 years ago, while changing sheets, I covered myself in a duvet cover to amuse my partner [& act like a ghost?] only to slam my head hard against a wall I couldn't see & fall with blood everywhere. he wasn't amused when we ended up at the hospital for a bunch of stiches at 2am.

    What's the stupidest injury you've ever occurred? I'll go first: I popped my jaw last week by brushing my teeth too vigorously. It still hurts 😖

    US history 101: politicians can come up with the most inventive reasons for why they oppose basic voting & representation rights for hundreds of thousands of people, especially when it’s to get around saying the population they want to suppress is plurality Black.

    In his argument against statehood, Hice says D.C. would be the only state without an airport or a car dealership. First time I've heard that argument.....
