"Nice" is a stretch for incel culture. A loooong one
-
Give them credit for trying. They're doing what none of us are doing, or even interested in trying. Most simply shove incels to the margins and move on .
-
Granted. But how one goes about trying makes the differnce. It takes self awareness to pull oneself out the negative circle jerk that is the online incel community. Giving into hate is not the way to try and better oneself

You are aware that the online Incel community venerated Elliot Rodger? *THEY'RE* the ones who made this, and made Rodger a martyr to their "cause". They have already laid claim to Alek Minassian as being one of their heroes. Best look into the online culture a little bit more.pic.twitter.com/YkPdOjvHE2

Found this today, in 4 Chan, ours after attack, discussing what happened, and they are really happy and think Rodger would be pleased. Scum of the earth.pic.twitter.com/ILdb4FzvZS

I know. Absolutely vile. And with all due respect to Tamlyn, these aren't the guys she worked with, IMHO.

Thank you for this insight, I couldn't agree more. The really sad fact of the incel thing is also, that the term incel was invented by a queer woman from Toronto, who wanted to create an inclusive & supportive community for those who lack social skills or appearance...
-
When assholish, rigth-wing misogynist take over, the whole sense was lost and it became a toxic circle-jerk bubble, not only to spread misogyny, but also to draw as many men who good be nice persons before into that spirale of hate...
-
For the people who suffer from being alone (yes though nobody is entlitled to sexo-romantical intercourse, in a society in which your ability to get a relationship defines your worth, you can suffer from it, got myself a ICD 10 F 32.2 from this) and not want to
-
become embittered or being hateful, just want to break out loneliness, its a lose-lose situation, when the are associated with murder, rape or misogyny...

Never even heard of this before today. Knew a guy in the Army that was afraid to talk to women. We took him to the beach, walked up to a few women (didn’t know them), introduced him, ourselves, & that’s all it took, he lost the fear he’s been married some 30 something years now.
