The US Supreme Court allowed Alabama to go ahead with the execution of Matthew Reeves, an intellectually disabled Black man. Justice Barrett voted against permitting the execution. Justices Kagan, Breyer, and Sotomayor also voted against the execution and published a dissent.

A U.S. district judge granted a preliminary injunction, halting the federal Bureau of Prisons from executing Corey Johnson or Dustin Higgs until mid-March. The men argue to execute them while they recover from COVID-19 would be cruel and unusual punishment. -TM

Anyone who voted for this tragic shitty narcissist mess of a president bears responsibility for this debacle today. He has shown you exactly who he was all along. You still supported him. You are complicit in the attempted destruction of the country. You are not a patriot.

“6 weeks pregnant” = 2 weeks late on your period. Most of the men writing these bills don’t know the first thing about a woman’s body outside of the things they want from it. It’s relatively common for a woman to have a late period + not be pregnant. So this is a backdoor ban.
