Wealth always equates to power. Because with wealth comes influence. In my opinion the fact they still hold that wealth means they aren't quite oppressed. Also many of those who hold the wealth are in government writing the laws. Please correct me if I've made any errors
In what way does that serve the wealthy? The minority capitalist class is forced into the party and all decisions are dictated by the workers who are the majority of the voting base in the party. They literally cannot make decisions. The wealthy are oppressed in china purposely

Because in order to reduce poverty while not opening china up to being destroyed by a counter revolution the need to allow a minority capitalist class outweighs idealist notions of purity. Just as it did in the USSR and does in cuba, the dprk, etc.
