Fighting games are about options. The more you know/can execute, the better. The more you know your opponents options, the better informed decisions you can make.
Aggro is good as falco, but seek out why that aggression works and diagnose why it's not working against the better players you fight.

Smash does tend to elicit a sort of "shock collar" type response. The guy I was playing was spacing my telegraphed ledge recoveries. Feels good to recognize your mistakes as they happen :).
