It feels a little odd to me that there are Sekiro nerfs incoming (making the game easier) given that a large part of the draw is how hard the game is. There's definitely a difficult line to draw between intent of difficulty and fun of the game.

On the other hand, there are also player power nerfs incoming as well. It always felt like, to me, the game was hard enough for me to be ok with using overpowered skills/tactics. Maybe High Monk was *that* much out of band; unfortunately I never got it in my playthrough.

On the other other (third) hand, buffs and nerfs in the Souls/Borne games aren't a new thing and they likely won't be bad for Sekiro either. For what it's worth, I like the decreased emblem costs on weak skills, though I don't know if it'll be enough to get them to be used.

The nerfs aren’t really anything that will dynamically shift the game. It makes late game prosthetic upgrades more cost efficient (as they should be) and High Monk got a nerf/buff. I would like to see buffs to a bunch of the arts though :(

besides grappling and firecracker, the prosthetic tools were weak or niche (how many shielded enemies did you use the axe against?), so i’m happy to see buffs in the prosthetic area
