Are there gonna be open decklists for these qualifiers? I feel like it is a necessity for qualifiers this big and that qualifiers are starting to implement it is a huge step in the right direction to make tournaments more fair

Thank you for the honest feedback. We decided against open decklists to avoid a lot of room for organizational delays or errors. Due to the double elimination Bo5 format, we are expecting this qualifier to run for a long timespan and want to create a smooth experience.

HCT tour Stop - 16 people - closed decklist... a lot of bad stuff.., people cheat in LUL Challenger cups.. what do you think will happen here, just cause you are too lazy to do the work for open decklists.

Yeah but this also allows people to change their lineup depending if they have info on the opponents lineup which is gonna be very common in the later stages which just makes it very very unfair

Yeah, this won’t be “ smooth “ if people start asking others what someone is playing just so they can build a counter-lineup :/

I'm pretty sure most pros don't mind the extra time an open decklist format requires. A closed decklist format doesn't guarantee a fair competitive environment and punishes players that prepare well in advance.

Yeah the top priority shouldnt be time concerns but that you are actually running a fair tournament. Closed decklists doesnt accomplish this
