Deforestation is a lose-lose: when we burn a tree, we add more CO2 to the atmosphere, and we also throw a way the carbon asset that is the tree in the process.

@JudeDeVille You are spot on!! Keeping our trees and replanting where ever possible, might just be the least expensive and most rewarding thing we can do the help stem the rise in global temps and maybe even reverse them at some point.

The Amazon fires have been getting the most attention, for good reason. However, one of my favorite points in the post is that "deforestation is a world-wide crisis which includes major rainforests in Indonesia and Sub-Saharan Africa."
