To rein in property taxes, two options seem to be proposed: @GregAbbott_TX using disaster powers to freeze all property valuations at 2019 levels or fighting it out with every local government on their rates as they deal with a disaster.

We prefer Texans fight at the local level. 1) It’s not our fault when property taxes rise. 2) A freeze blows a hole in our budget and makes the @The87thTxlege that much harder.
