Why am I paying $8000 per year in #propertytaxes on a 1487 sq ft home? Because our county tax assessors are allowed to base our taxes on the market value of our homes even if the assessment value is much lower! I have to protest my taxes yearly! We are a single income household!

Texas may take pride in staying out of county business but maybe it’s time to protect property owners! Yes we vote for these people but who is making sure that they are fair and not railroading us?!
