A friend of mine in Colorado pays less in property AND state income taxes than our property taxes. My sister in Ohio pays LESS in state, city, county, and property taxes combined than OURS IN TEXAS. Something is really wrong here! Perhaps something can be done to help us...

Well the people that I know pay less than us so I don’t know what source you’re looking at. My Colorado friend’s home is worth $400k and she pays $1900 in property tax. WE ARE PAYING $8000 and it increases yearly! You don’t see something wrong with that?!

Texas may take pride in staying out of county business but maybe it’s time to protect property owners! Yes we vote for these people but who is making sure that they are fair and not railroading us?!
