Raising minimum wage in the past didn’t tank our economy and actually increased participation in the economy. But there’s been no increase in minimum wage in NINE YEARS while the cost of everything has increased, causing fewer people the ability to live full lives.

In my youth, a person could work a minimum wage job for 30 hours a week and get through college debt free. Today, as minimum wage has stagnated and college costs have exploded, young adults can no longer graduate and live the American dream as they’re saddled with debt.

Would it cost jobs because CEOs making 257 times more than their employees want to preserve the status quo? I mean, heaven forbid they have to cut back to making just 200 times what their employees make so those workers can afford things like food and a place to live.
