The MTA announced this evening that they had finally secured a regular significant quantities of these masks that have been in short supply across the nation for first responders, health care workers and other essential employees.
TWU Local 100 President Tony Utano hailed the MTA’s announcement and said the union is working closely with management to determine the best way to distribute the masks directly to the job sites. Utano: “We’ve been working very hard to secure masks for transit workers…
"… during what has been widely reported as a global shortage of supplies. "This has been a very traumatic time for all of us, and I hope these masks will give the membership some peace of mind as we continue providing essential bus and subway service to New York.”

Thats Great! But you shouldn't force workers with underlying conditions to continue working! they should be allowed to take their vacation leave.

“After weeks” is too little too late. If this so-called “union” had any real power and influence and wasn’t being controlled and managed by the Governor, it would’ve gotten immediate results for our Members demands and safety. This is far from over!! How many more lives are lost?
