It is shameful that Disney/Star Wars basically wrote Rose Tico out of the TROS instead of ignoring the haters, recognizing valid criticism, and giving the character a meaningful final story. Kelly Marie Tran deserved better.

When I got my tickets to watch this on Thursday night, I took off work on Friday at the same time, so I could watch it again. But when I saw what they did with Rose Tico, I decided I wouldn't watch it a 2nd time.

Rose was a truly interesting character in concept, and she should have been explored more in the third movie. I haven't seen TROS for myself, but the way they erased her from the promos, merchandise, and made her stay behind from the group roadtrip....rude, Disney.

i fully agree. sure, i hated TLJ but i liked Rose for the most part, and i'm sad her character was poorly written in TLJ. but now she's just completely wasted! either they should have kept her dead or gave her a bigger involvement in RoS.

Nope! It was the 100000000% correct thing to do. Same as what they did with Jar Jar. The character was easily the worst one in the entire saga

Her character IS a side character though, AND we added new diverse characters as well. I feel this is a misdirected tweet. She wasn’t treated unfairly.
