Loudoun County paid to have teachers trained that, "Teachers have a special role to teach academics (and to inculcate morals). The teacher is the second mother. Parents' role is to socialize children (and respect teachers' authority)." So yeah, they think they own our kids.

Poll of 1,300 educators. 68% say parents should be uninvolved in selecting curriculum. Majorities say parents do a "poor" or "fair" job teaching students about racism, sexism, and gender identity. Hubristic midwits think they own your kids. edweek.org/teaching-learn

"The teacher (i.e., the state) is the second mother" is a transparent prelude to "the teacher (i.e., the state) is the *first* mother". Also, what's with the sexism? Why no urgency to correct the gender inequity in K-12 staff? 🤔

The lack of political diversity in the educational system is a critical problem that needs to be fixed. Any place where leftists have overwhelming majority is politically compromised, and institutions where this happens don't serve the public interest but a political agenda.

I say just clean house. Let them make careers for themselves in social activism. This is rooted in dangerous ideology that has a plan of an its own and it needs to be plucked out by the root. It doesn't belong in public schools.
