One of my videos got community guide strike and it was a review of a app on the play store that adds custom channels to Nvidia Shield? What do you think about that?
-
What custom channel? Its youtubes platform and they make the rules, Too many creators seem to think they are entitled when in actual fact you should be grateful youtube is allowing us to use the platform. There are mistakes with auto system and thats why we can appeal them.

It is not considered hacking, as it's not a Youtubers job to identify which apps have licenses for content and which are not, it's like if you review a phone you might be hacking if the information is classified, if it's public domain you as a Youtuber have the right to cover

As a content creator you're providing a gateway to Piracy. You may or may not show and films or rv shows but you are supplying information to obtain illegal content. Why should you profit from stolen content?

I would agree with you if that was the guidelines. But what you say is pure speculation. If that was correct I wouldn't win 10+ strikes in the last month. The guidelines are open to subjective interpretation and that is YT fault. No one wants to break them, but understand them.
-
Its not speculation, I have had many conversations with them after it happened to me. Copyright strikes are not google as they have received complaints which they have to act upon & can be countered if invalid Community strikes can also be in error and appealed if false
