For me if a show has great designs, premise, soundtrack, animation etc. and mediocre writing, I can still enjoy it. It takes something truly abysmal on the writing front for it to ruin a show for me. Everyone is different though!
ya if you think those things i get it for me the only thing id agree on is that it has good char animation, i really dislike the monster/mech design, soundtrack is meh - used with little impact, and the premise is unoriginal and wasted imo i can see why some enjoy it tho

most things are pretty subjective, some think the production of ditf is 10/10 so that explains why some excuse/are okay with the writing
