Either way, summit was fun, well ran event but with some pretty bad TOing. Hope they fix it for dbfz summit. Learned a lot playing everyone and I don't regret the time I've spent grinding at all, but I would be lying if I said I enjoy what melee seems to be turning into. Hm.

Most of the meta-developments during the event have been positive. You don't have to enjoy it but to imply this wasn't a step forward is very weird.
Count the average timeouts/ledgecamps and maybe then youll see. One or two upsets doesnt change the core gameplay change.

Honestly, though. Most of the timeouts weren't by virtue of trying to time people out, but rather being the result of slower matchups that are uncommon, and that we just don't see a lot due to most sets having a fastfaller

Those were some of the most exciting timeouts I've seen tbh, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that. Definitely more than two upsets. Some successes show hope and paths in matchups that we thought were deadends.

I don't think you'd enjoy those timeouts as much if they happened every tournament, the hype came from novelty
